I had a unique cultural experience at Beijing Springs Valley Hotel, but I faced quite a few challenges during my stay. While the staff was genuinely trying to please us, the lack of English-speaking personnel made communication tough. The rooms offered some good amenities like daily fruit and yogurt, but I found the bathrooms lacking privacy. Overall, I enjoyed the ambiance, but I think others might prefer a more central and westernized hotel for convenience.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were generally clean and comfortable, but the lack of doors on the bathrooms was quite odd and created awkward situations.
Service
8.0
The service was commendable, especially the Vice General Manager who went out of his way to assist and ensure we had a pleasant stay.
Location
7.0
The hotel had a decent location, being about a 15-minute walk to the subway and nearby attractions like the Temple of Heaven.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were mainly Asian and not very varied. The breakfast had some decent selections, but it could’ve been better.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were adequate, but the decorations felt outdated. I think they should focus on improving overall renovations.

6.8/10

My recent stay at Beijing Springs Valley Hotel was quite disappointing. While the lobby had some charm, the cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired. The location near the Temple of Heaven was convenient, but the lack of privacy in the bathroom was unsettling.

Rooms
5.0
The room was not accurately depicted online and felt old. Additionally, I encountered poor cleanliness with spots on the walls and dirty rags left upon entry.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally friendly but struggled with English, which made communication difficult. It was hard to overlook the ineffective cleaning practices.
Location
7.0
The hotel is situated near some major tourist attractions, including the Temple of Heaven. However, the exterior and decor felt outdated compared to the photos I saw.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was quite basic, predominantly Chinese, and lacked variety. It was adequate but nothing special.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities seemed promising but were ultimately let down by poor maintenance and the absence of advertised amenities like a safe in the room.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at the Beijing Springs Valley Hotel. On one hand, the rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and I enjoyed the comfortable bed. However, the breakfast left much to be desired, and the staff's English proficiency was limited, which made communication challenging at times.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were decent, but they were smaller than expected, and there was no wardrobe space. The bathroom design could have been better, as it lacked good lighting and resulted in flooding after showers.
Service
5.0
The service was hit or miss. There was one lady who really helped organize our trip and assisted with our bags, but the rest of the team struggled with English, especially at night.
Location
6.0
I liked the location, as it was close to the Temple of Heaven and other sights in the southern part of the city. However, it took a bit of a walk to reach the nearest subway station.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast included was pretty basic and lacked variety. I wouldn't say it was the best meal I've had, and some could find it disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were adequate, but the design of the hotel seemed outdated, particularly the exterior. It didn’t quite match the more polished images online.

5.8/10

My stay at the Beijing Springs Valley Hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated, but the overall comfort could be improved. The breakfast was decent, although nothing special. I appreciated the front desk staff's effort to communicate in English. However, the location was a bit detached from bustling areas, requiring a 15-minute walk to the nearest subway station.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were clean and well-decorated, but I experienced a lack of privacy due to some unconventional bathroom designs. For couples traveling together, expect minimal privacy in the restroom.
Service
5.0
While the front desk staff were polite and helpful, communication was often a challenge due to limited English proficiency among the staff at certain times.
Location
5.0
The hotel is situated near the Temple of Heaven, but it's quite far from the main attractions and requires a decent walk to reach the subway.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast included a typically Chinese buffet, which was okay, but didn't offer much variety that would appeal to western tastes.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel's overall condition felt outdated, and improvements on the facilities would enhance the experience significantly.

6.6/10

I had high hopes for Beijing Springs Valley Hotel, but I left feeling quite disappointed. While the location was decent, being close to the Temple of Heaven and only a 15-minute walk from the subway, the overall experience was underwhelming. The rooms weren't what I expected based on the website photos, and I encountered several cleanliness issues that detracted from my stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room was smaller than advertised, with a poorly designed shower that flooded the floor. The decor was outdated, and I found the walls needed a fresh coat of paint. Additionally, the cigarette smoke seeping through the vents made it hard to relax.
Service
5.0
The staff was friendly but struggled with basic English, which made communication difficult. I had to request an early wake-up call for a tour, and thankfully, I woke up on my own—otherwise, I would have missed it.
Location
7.0
The hotel is conveniently located near the Temple of Heaven and a short walk from the subway, making it fairly easy to explore the city, but the distance was a bit farther than I had hoped.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite disappointing; while there was a broad selection of fruits and cereal, the overall variety felt inadequate, especially for Western tastes. I found the food unappetizing and lacking in freshness.
Facilities
5.0
The overall facilities were clean but felt dated. There was a noticeable lack of amenities that he hotel advertised online, such as a secure room safe, which was frustrating.
